Creative Graphic Designer
Ever since my coloring days, I have had an eye for perfection. I always had to color in the lines. It wasn’t until being part of my high school’s yearbook design team that I discovered what I am passionate about. Designing has brought me a world of joy. I simply like to make things look good. I have had numerous opportunities to express my talent and I am so thankful for them. I graduated from Carroll University in May 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications and a Marketing Minor.

Objective
To obtain a creative design position in a fun and innovative company that offers opportunities to achieve personal, career and creative growth. My goal is to always allow my education and creativity to be challenged and I am now excited to see where my creativity takes me…

“We had the good pleasure of working with Vanessa as a summer design intern in 2009. Besides being a very good designer, Vanessa was lightning-fast. She took direction well. She came with a lot of experience having worked as a designer professionally for a few years. She was reliable and dependable. If we’d had the opportunity at the time, we would have hired her.”
“Vanessa is a highly talented graphic artist. Her work is featured in all of our major publications. She works excellent with others and goes the extra mile to get it done.”
“As Vanessa’s former instructor and advisor at Carroll University, Waukesha, Wisconsin, I am pleased to write this recommendation and endorsement of her design abilities and dedication as a student. Vanessa graduated this past academic year (2009-2010) as one of the strongest designers in the Graphic Communications program at Carroll University. She is also recipient of the Outstanding Designer of the Year Award (and deservedly so). Her designs and projects were always of the highest caliber. It is not difficult to pick up the skill sets associated with the Adobe Creative Suite, but it is truly a gift when one can apply those skill sets to create designs that communicated with style and enthusiasm – Vanessa has that gift. In addition to her outstanding use of technology, she is especially adept at incorporating color, typography and images to create dynamic work. Her designs often pushed others in the Graphic Communications program to a higher level. Vanessa, most of the time, set the bar quite high. Vanessa has always been a dedicated student and she often surprised me with a level maturity not often witnessed in students her age. Any company or non-profit would be very lucky to have her as an employee. She is a self starter and can handle numerous projects at one time. I highly recommend her.”
